Gustavo Miranda will perform a New York Christmas recital. It will include selections from "Christmas Tree" S. 186 by Liszt and "The Nutcracker" by Tchaikovsky. It will also feature Beethoven's two last piano Sonatas Op. 110 (written on a Christmas day of 1821) and Op. 111 written in January, 1822. Additionally, it will include pieces by Czerny (Beethoven's pupil and Liszt's teacher), Liszt's "Chasse-Neige" and John Musto's exquisite "Flederag" (after Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss II.)
